NAKID Social Sports offers some of the best ways to make new friends in Austin and you're invited to join! Once per week, you'll meet up with your team at your assigned field, court, or bar and play against an opposing team. After your game, you'll visit the sponsor bar (or stay there, if you're already there!), where you'll eat, drink, and socialize with your teammates and other players in the league.

What is NAKID? How does it work?
NAKID stands for Neighborhood Adults Kickin' It Downtown and we are a social sports league! Every week, you'll head on out to your designated location to play your sport. After your games, you'll go to your designated sponsor bar, where you'll eat, drink and socialize with your teammates and opposing teams.

Do you all play nude?
Nope! We've just got a fun name.

What's the age range of members?
Most of our members are between 22 and 40 years old. The average age of players is around 30.

How do rainouts work?
We monitor the weather daily. If you have a concern about the weather, believe us, we're keeping our eyes on it, too. If you haven't heard anything from us, you should assume games are on. In the event games have to be cancelled, we'll send you an email on game day. In the event of game cancellations, head on over to the sponsor bar! We always try our best to make up games, but can't guarantee it due to permitting availability.

How do I get my team shirts?
Team t-shirts will be available at your second game. Captains will need to arrive a little early and pick them up from the division manager. We cannot guarantee t-shirts to players who sign up late (past the registration deadline).

What if I have to miss a game?
That's totally fine. We all have other commitments in our lives. If you can, just give your team captain a heads up.

What do I do in case of a possible concussion?
Please see the CDC guidelines for spotting and addressing concussion symptoms.

Registration Questions

What are the requirements to join?
All participants must be 21 or older, have health insurance, agree to our terms and conditions, and pay the league registration fee.

How do I start a team?
During registration, you will be given the option to register as a Team Captain. Select that option and follow the prompts to create your team. You can then send invites to your friends so they can join your team. The minimum and maximum team size varies by sport. See your league page for more details.

What if I don't have enough players to fill up a team?
Feel free to sign up as a Small Group. Groups of friends are guaranteed to stay together, and will be assigned to a team before the start of the season.

Can I join alone?
Absolutely! Many of our members join alone. Just join as a Free Agent and we'll place you onto a fun and friendly team when we get closer to the start of the season. If you later have a friend join as a Free Agent as well, toss us an email and we'll get the two of you onto the same team.

How can I register and pay for an entire team at once?
For corporate teams or private groups, please email us at austin@playnakid.com and we'll help you register your team.

Can I request to not have players added to my roster team's roster?
NAKID reserves the right at all times to make additions to team rosters. We will try very hard to honor requests from teams that have met the minimum roster requirement, but cannot make any guarantees. NAKID is a social league and has a solid track record of creating new friend circles through roster changes. If we have to make additions to any team's roster, our aim is not to diminish playing time, but to connect you to new friends.

What if I need to cancel my registration? 
League registration is non-refundable, however, any cancellations made before the close of the registration period will be given full site credit towards a future season of your choice. No refunds or credit will be given for cancellation made after registration closes.
